they may not be dancing with guys from out of town but they sure can get dirty in the craftiest ways imaginable. i just adore the fabulous PINKY and her new challenge blog DIRTY SCRAPS. she has picked the baddest dirty girls she could find to be on the DT and boy are these ladies amazing, check them out. so here is my challenge #1 for DIRTY SCRAPS, i thought i had already posted it, i've had it done for weeks, lol, i'm such a slacker, lol. so Challenge #1 is about pet peeves and what u learned from them, of course mine are about my daddy issues and how those turned into hubby issues and i am now MOVING ON.
here's another one i've done this past month, i'm really getting into getting it all out, a boy chose another girl over me (story of my life, lol) but its fine because he's dumb, lol. nah, she's a great girl and one of my good friends and this whole thing isnt
worth loosing our friendships. again...MOVING ON, lol

my bff from my senior year of hs posted something on her facebook today that spoke to me. at first i was kinda of saddened by it (but what doesnt sadden me these days?) but after i decided to scrap it i feel a bit of release. I almost feel kind of silly scrapping these type of things....it seems kind of EMO, but i'm not doing it so people can be "aww, poor Nikki" i'm doing it for me, it's therapy and i do feel better. so here it is. i used her post 'shiver and say the words of every lie you've heard" as the title and so i didnt actually have to do what the title suggests i used a wedding pic, a picture speaks a thousand words.
this LO will be another addition to the break up box. i have all these LO's of pix of him and i just dont feel they need to be in our family album anymore but i cannot get rid of them so into an altered box they will go. i'll post a pic of the box after i create it.

so sunday i heard a commercial on the radio for chevrolet. they are doing this Mommy Madness contest and will be picking 5 STL area blogging moms to test drive either an Equinox or a Traverse for 4 weeks. i applied and have my fingers crossed! how great would it be to get to drive a new car, the only problem will be giving it back, lol.

so i WANT to be scrapping and working on my Tally DT submissions but instead i'm making banners and signs for Villa Hills FD's booth at the Octoberfest. i need to get these done so i can get back to the FUN scrapping! i finished cutting out the letters for the banner...one sign down, 3 more to go!

i enjoyed my crop day on sat and got a few LO's done. i did my Tally survivor LO and started on one for Tally's DT call (which i cannot post until later) but heres my survivor team LJ week one LO.
i also did a LO for ScrapFit. this was fun. it had to have a picture on it but with NO people. so guess what i scrapped?????

so this week is the first time its really set in for me. we had our first dirty fight since the split, he threatened me with court, i called him a bully, he blew up then apologized...whatever. i'm so over his crap.
anyways.... i got the ball rolling with my plan. i want to go to school for nursing. i filled out my fafsa. requested my h.s. transcripts, now i wait. hopefully i will be able to start the fall semester on Oct 26, fingers crossed!
today and the rest of the weekend, i'm reorganizing and re-arranging the house the way i want it, he's not living here so i'm changing it! i'm moving the computer out of my bedroom to the living room, moving my scrap room from the sunporch to my bed room and i'm wanting to turn the sunporch into the kids play room. i just need to winterize the porch so they can play out there when it gets cold.
oh, and i sold my rings. he has no clue! i sent them here and i cannot wait to get my check. check out the site, its very humorous!!! every email they've sent me has cracked me up! they sure know how to make u feel good about a break up.
thats all for now, i hope to scrap some this weekend...but we'll see

blog slacker

so yes i admit it, i've been not blogging, or really scrapping lately. i have lots i haven't posted from a few months back but with all the craziness of the summer and other goings on. Thanks to Stacy for the motivation to update this thing. she has also been a bit of a blog slacker too so i thought i'd let her know she's not alone.

along with the update, u may notice i've changed the name of my blog. my life is going through some drastic changes and i really don't have an outlet to vent. i cannot vent on facebook or myspace due to the in-laws (soon to be out-laws) being in my social network. yes, u've guess it, the hubs and i have decided to part ways. being a stay-at-home mom is going to put me at a disadvantage. i've got 3 kids and no income, but i do have a plan. just need to put the plan into action.

i've decided that i am going to scrap this process. i need a creative outlet and a reminder to myself. so i'll be doing a book of me and i'll be sharing it here. i have some great quotes that fit this situation. one of my favorites is something that Linda has said to me too many times to count, "take the knot from your stomach and hand it to the person causing it" couldn't be anymore appropriate and has earned a coveted spot in my book. Stacy always posts amazing quotes on her facebook and a week or so ago she posted one that really hit home for me. that one will also have a page.

okay so my slacker butt was gonna pass on the FFF for the 2nd week in a row until i was called out!!! lol, thanx for getting my lazy butt back on the bus Dena!!!! lol

*Palm Centro: Holy goodness Batman this is one heck of a phone!!!! i LOVES it so much, i can text because it has a tiny little keyboard, i can get online, check email...it even makes phone calls, lol. WOOO HOOO it makes me feel snazzy!!! I would take a pic of myself holding it but i washed my camera with the laundry last week...thank goodness this sweet phone has a camera on it, lol

*Valentine Candy: i don't care what kind, i like it all and i'm so glad teh kids got loads from school...so i can eat it all!!!!!

*Sober House on VH1: not sure if i mentioned this before but this show is like CRACK to me!!! who would have thought a show about addict celebs would be addictive, lol

*Twilight Spoof: well this one in particular...its really enjoyable!!!!

*Tool Academy: OMG this is trashy TV at its finest. if u haven't seen it yet, yr missin' out!!! the girls brought in their douche bag boyfriends to be taught to be GOOD boyfriends. OMG BEST SHOW EVER!!! lol

*Mr Clean Magic Eraser: Holy Moly it rocks!!! yes i've used on before but its been so long since i bought one i forgot how awesome it is!!!! I get migraines and cleaning products normaly set one off, but i used my magic eraser to scrub down my bathtub today and it's sparkly white AND no headache!!!! BONUS!!!!

*SUNSHINE: yes is may be freakin' cold here still but the sun has been shining brightly for 2 days now...BEAUTIFUL!!!! COME ON SPRING!!!!!

Yes i know, it's been well over a week since i updated the blog and about a week since i've created anything. i need to kick my slacker butt into gear!!!! so here's my goals for this week: (1) aj prompt 2-because (2) sending out a package for my tally sis (3) order pix while Walgreen's has them for 10 cents a print (4) gutter girlz prompt 15 (5) use my tally kit (6) start my table centerpieces for Valentine's. i'm sure there are more, i'll add more as i think of them.

Now onto my friday faves....better late than never, lol.

*root beer floats: an oldie but a goodie.....YUMMMM

*CHA: now seriously, who wouldn't want to go to it? all week i've been drooling over all the sneak peek goodness all the manufacturers have been teasing me with, lol. i cant wait to see some of this stuff in my LSS.

*Yankee Candle Buttercream Candle: oh how yummy it smells. i've recently discovered that i can only burn teh baked-goods smelling candles. All the other fragrances are to perfumy and give me a headache.

*Tori Amos: u know, i've never realized how much i miss listening to music, i don't do it often, i hope to change that when i finally get a mp3 player. I just found ALL of my Tori cd's and i plan to put them all on my mp3 so i can get some good scrappy mojo going!!!

*Pampered Chef: OHHH they have the yummiest recipes!!!! i just wish there stuff wasn't so dang expensive.

so it seems to have been a short week for me seeing how i just did my last weeks faves on Monday, lol. so here's my faves for the week.

*Monkey Joe's: This place is GREAT. we went last friday and are having Seth & Lil-Lil's party there on Sat. It's a bit pricey but the kids love it. they can go and bounce their little hearts out then hopefully take a nap, lol

*Bella Blvd: I am in love with all of their paper. they are a new but VERY promising company. Check out their blog giveaway and their CHA sneaky peeks. If you leave a comment for their give away, please say that i sent u and we can BOTH win!!! yippeee

or whatever u want to call it, lol. i just can't seem to make myself scrap. i want to but when i go to do i just can't seem to find something to do. i'm not happy with any of the pix i have already printed, i'm not feeling any of the paper i own, ugh. well, hopefully i get lots done on sat. i'm heading to Archiver's all day to scrap with some gal-pals. its actually kind of embarrasing, i did so much last week and NOTHING this week, lol. so here more pix of stuff i did last week. i have a huge list of stuff to do sat, hopefully i can figure it out, lol.
so last week my lovely BFF lizzie introduced me to tallyscrapper.com, OMG i LOVE that place!!! everyone there is so nice and inspiring and that place is the reason i was able to scrap so much last week. now if only i could make myself scrap this week, lol
well, my 29th b-day is fast approaching and i have to say that i'm okay with it. i think 29 is gonna be my year. i'm planning on trying to scrap today so maybe i'll get lucky have have something new to show later today, lol

so i've been kinda slacking this week on the blog, okay fine i'll admit, i was hungover, lol. i did however get some quality scrap time though. so here's a few i did.
i did this one for gutter girlz prompt 14. I had a hard time putting this on paper. it just seems so permanent, like i cannot deny it if anyone involved sees it, lol. I have no problem talking about it though.....weird huh? so basically my dad is a DB and my sis Cassi and i hate him. i haven't spoke to him in 6 months and haven't seen him in over a year. needless to say, i'm so not ready to make nice anytime soon.
this is my to do list wall hanging, i LOVE it!!!! I have like 4 more LOs i could post here, but i'll do it later...onto my Friday faves....a day late of course,

*SUSHI: oh yummy. my hubby took me out for date night last night and i overstuffed myself as usual, oh how i love me some sushi! (oh, our waitress was awesome, she said HOLLAR just like my bff, love ya Lizzie!)

*Basic Grey: I'm not sure why it has never captured my attention before but i am completly obsessed with their paper....i cannot wait to get my bday money so i can buy tons of BG paper!!!!

MaMaw's Gift

So my hubby's step-dad, Matt, has the most amazing family. I know i always mention grandma Katie (Matt's mom) but Katie's mom MaMaw is such an amazing woman. She's always so sweet and caring and their whole family is very excepting of all the new comers. This year I decided to make MaMaw a framed LO. Since MaMaw didn't come to our Christmas gathering on Saturday, she hasn't gotten it yet. I can't wait to hear her reaction!

because I finally finished Grandma Katie's calendar. That lady is lucky I love her so much because these calendars are a pain in the butt to do, its so time consuming but I have to say the result is well worth it and I'm sure she'll love it. I myself am pretty pleased with it, I wasn't sure while I was putting it together but after all the finishing touches were there, I almost want to keep it for myself, lol. Thanks for looking!

So all the scrappy places I visit on line have been talking about crafty gift wrapping and I decided it would be fun and festive if I tried something. My idea actually came from looking at Molta Bella Photography's holiday pix. There is a little girl holding 2 candy canes making a heart shape. Thanks for the inspiration Stacy, you've been scrap-lifted, lol.
I also discovered that these little cuties look adorable on the Christmas tree!!!

I'm feeling kinda crabby, nothing has really jumped out as a fave this week so here's my lame faves list, sorry there's nothing exciting to report, lol.

okay so here we go......

*CVS photo lab: I sent my pix at 5:30 and they called me 10 mins later and said they were ready! AND the guy waived the under $5 order fee. WOW!!!!! If I would have ordered from Walgreens I would have waited over 3 hours for my pix. Thanx CVS!!!!

*Molto Bella Photography: I just LOVE her work. She has taken photos of my kids twice and everytime I see the pix I get the most indescribable feeling. I love to look at all her work and scrapping her pix is so fun, the pages always look so amazing because of her pix. Thanx for all you do Stacy!!!!! Can't wait to see what your working on for '09.

*The last guy I spoke to @ AT&T: I know it sounds silly but this guy took care of everything we needed and he made up for all the frustration the other people I spoke to today caused! great work guy, sorry I don't know your name. (not that he's reading this or anything, lol)

*Scott's bosses: Great guys!!!! They really do care about the people that work so hard for them!

*Elve's Inpersonator: Such an ADORABLE children's play! Seth's school did it for their Chistmas music concert, all I can say is it was full of laughs and lots of awwwws. Gotta love 'Elfis' and the fact that it has my 7 year old asking about ELVIS.

So I'm sure you've all been there. I just cannot get into the projects I need to do and every time I scrap something I'm so not happy with it. Its got to be my BAH-HUMBUG mood, Christmas just puts me in a foul mood. Nothing against the holiday its self, it just gets so busy and hectic here not to mention the holiday family drama. Anyways, here's the ONE page I did at the crop last night, yes, that's right ONE! Like I said, I just wasn't feeling it last night.

So to make myself feel better, here's some pages that I've never posted. Ahhh, to reminisce when scrapping was easy and my mojo was flowing, lol. The 1st 2 were done about 6 months ago, the 3rd was in October, and the last was just the other day. Now hopefully my scrappiness returns to me, lol

Okay so I've been waiting for Friday all week so I can do another Friday Faves.
*Archiver's ScrapMania (and Rachel) I just love going to this. They feed me, the give me a goody bag, and I can scrap uninterrupted by kids.oh and I can shop, lol. Its such a lovely time!!! I'm going tonight and Bazzil is giving an extra gift to all the attendees! YAY!!! oh and Rachel said she may have some more goodies for the Friday crowd, gotta love that!!!!
*Olive Garden's new Gnochi soup: not sure exactly what its called, I could look it up but I'm being a bit lazy, lol. Never the less, it is DELISH!!!!! Hubby brought some home for me Wednessday night, such a good guy!
*Handy Manny is quickly becoming my saving grace. PJ {hearts} him and the tools so whenever PJ is getting a tad unrooly, I say "Let's go watch Manny!" and all is right with the world, lol.
*Seth, my oldest son will be SEVEN on Sunday. I cannot believe how time has flown and how much he has grown. Seth was born with a heart defect and 4 years ago we thought we were going to loose him but thanks to all the doctors at STL Children's Hospital we still have our Sethy and he is deffinantly going to give us a run for our money, lol.
*TWILIGHT {sigh} Oh how can it not be on my faves, I promise I'll try not to put it here every week but OH HOW I LOVE IT!!!!! I guess there is a fine line between LOVE and OBSESSION, lol. I guess I just need to see the movie...AGAIN!!! lol.

So I've finally finished this page, I needed rub ons to finish my title and thanks to Ann's 1/2 off sale, I had plenty of rub ons to choose from. I just {heart} this pic of Lil-Lil taken by Molto Bella Photography! I'm planing on scrapping more of these pix from her May photo shoot.

Today is kinda lame, I've spent the day cleaning up after the kids, today was an early dismissal day and you cannot imagine how nice it would be to throw these kids outside! LOL. Tonight I'm having my last TP roll get together so at least I'll get some scrapping in.

Scrappy Deals Found Near & Far

So while on my adventure in North Carolina, I found these fabulous Halloween goodies at Target for a total of like $8 for everything! The stamp set even has the matching alpha stamps with it! what a find!!Then on Saturday I went to my LSS's 'sidewalk sale' and bought all this stuff for half price!!!! She's clearing out her inventory for all the new stuff she'll buy in January. I can't wait to see all the new product!!!! Now i need to get scrappy!!!So here's a pic of my Santa Key wreath. So here's my very 1st Friday Faves. I've been meaning to do this for a while but I always forget. I always love reading everyone else's faves so if you wanna join in let me know so I can check yours out!!!

*Bath & Body Works Sweetest Softest Robe: OMG this is the MOST AMAZING robe EVER!!! my mom bought me one and i have to say i LOVE it. its so warm and cozy (and it has a hood!!!)

*Scrapbook Factory in Fairview Heights, IL is my LSS and I'm not sure why I haven't gone in there more but I'm def changing that!!! They are having a 'sidewalk sale' tomorrow making some room for the new purchases in January. Ann (the owner) is super nice and very helpful!

*I love me some Swiss Rolls. I hadn't had these in a LONG time until I ate a whole box while visiting my mom. YUM YUM

*LIZZIE!!!! Of course she's on my faves list! she's one of my bestes and it's her B-day and she rocks!!!! <3you girlie!!

*Starbucks...OH how I love thee!!! I'm going to my local Mommies group 'sip and chat' get-together tonight at Starbucks....YUM YUMMM, maybe I'll take some Swiss Rolls with me, LOL So I've been wanting to scrap since I returned from my vacation but I haven't felt very scrappy or creative. I've finally created something today from the Scrapbook Heaven 12 Day of Christmas Crop. So here's my take on the Santa Key. What a CUTE idea, I think I may make one for all of our little cousins....I have to put that at the BOTTOM of my TO DO list though, LOL. I decided to put ours in a wreath along with a poem I made up to go with it.

So I saw it and it was great. Other than the teen boys giving commentary directly behind me it was good. Of course there are some parts missing and some parts added but it stayed pretty true the book. I do feel that some missing elements are important for the next movies so we'll have to see what they do with it.

We leave in the AM for North Carolina so I'll be MIA for the next week or so. I may get to pop into my fave scrap sites for a min or two but I probably won't be able to update here. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and I'll see you all in December!!!!!!

So it has taken me since Friday to finish this Advent Calendar Challenge from Scrapbook Heaven. Things have been crazy here but at least I have clean kid's rooms, lol. So today I'm getting in some quality scrap time and working on so more 12 Days of Christmas challenges. who knew that this would be the busiest week for me....I'm trying to get organized before leaving town and my 2 fave scrap sites have Christmas workshops going on.....WOE IS ME, hahahaha.

Well, I guess I am. I just finished reading the last 2 books in the Twilight series. It took me less than 2 weeks to read all 4. I had to take a weeks break in between books 1 & 2 and i took a couple days between 2 & 3 but I waisted no time getting my hands on book 4.....all I can say is WOW!!!!! My brain feels like mush from reading overload!!!! yes i read 3 huge books in the span of 1 week!!! HOLY COW!!!! now I wait to see the movie! I'm so excited i can't stand it!!!! LOL.

So now we get ready for the BIG ROAD TRIP to North Carolina to spend a week with my mom. We haven't had a holiday with her in over 4 years so it's well over due. She is beside herself with excitement. My brother and step-dad have never met Lil' PJ yet so they too are pretty stoked. I'm most excited about the mini van we rented, LOL.

This week I have some scrappin' to do and some packin' and I'm sure the list will prove to be endless, LOL.

So I am one of the lucky mommas to be chosen for Molto Bella Mommas. I am so excited! Stacey is an amazing photographer and she is being so very generous by sharing her knowledge to teach moms how to take better photos of their families. We got our first assignment today so I'll be working on my photo composition!!! I'll post my photos here after i 'turn' them into 'teacher', lol.

Twilight and such

So I just finished reading Twilight, it took me a little over a day, I have to say I'm pretty impressed. The book was very captivating and I can't wait to read the rest of the books but I am mostly impressed with the fact the I read it! I'm not a reader, I don't read for fun for I felt compelled to read this book and I'm so glad I did. Now I wait for the movie!!!!

Yesterday, I bought the deep cutting blade for my Cricut, I'm not completely satisfied with it. I did however finally finish a LO I've been working on for almost a week. I made flowers out of candy wrappers, OH HOW I LOVE CANDAAAAYYYY!!!!!

It was well worth the wait! Stacy BOOed me today and I got some great Halloween stuff and some candy{yum} and some scrapping goodies!!!! But The icing on the cake was the pro pix Stacy took of Lilleigh in May that I now have copies of!!! so exciting!!!! I'm gonna be scrapping tonight!!!!

Oh I made a page for a Bad Girls challenge and I am going send it to Lizzie. She just LOVES when I talk about archiver's and all the goodies I get there, LOL. and i feel like i have a scrapbook-hangover, lol. I finished 10 pages and i'm pretty happy with all of them. i think i'm ready for another crop!!!! it was a lot of fun and i can't wait to do it again in Feb. now back to the not so glamorous life of mommy, lol.

I was trying to get some cute new fall avie pix of myself but ended up with cute Lilleigh pix instead. I'll have to try my pix again at a later time, there's nothing worse than a bad avie pic, LOL.

I'm babysitting my friends little baby today while she goes to the dentist. When she gets back I have a scrappy surprise for her!!!! I can't wait to give it to her!!!! I made her one of the altered cans and poked holes in the lid for ribbon. She's gonna be so excited!!!!

WHATEVER Martha & ready for camp

So the other day I was talking to Lizzie about how I don't buy scrap stuff at Wal-Mart since they switched everything to the Martha Stewart line. I can't explain it but I just don't like Martha Stewart. So tonight I saw a commercial for a new show on the Living Channel called Whatever Martha and its all Martha Stewart's daughter and her best friend talking trash on Martha. EEEEE! It looks so great!!!! I cannot wait to watch it!!!! LOL. Oh it's the little things that excite me.

So I scrapped at my friend's last night I got a whole page done and started on a 2nd. Hopefully I'll finish more than a page at crop camp next weekend!!!! I can't wait, it will be so fun and relaxing. I'm going with my SIL Niki and some of her friends. SO EXCITED!!!!

Catching up

So the computer has been all jacked up and I couldn't post messages or even update my blog. Heck, I couldn't play on pogo or watch videos, IT WAS AWFUL!!!! But all is well now because my dear sweet Lizzie helped me fix it and now my life can go back to normal!

I decided to make a little care package for each of my local scrap pals. I'm still not finished yet but here is a pic of one. I'm going to fill them with various embellishments and what-not. Oh the uses of a formula can, lol.

Kids & hubby are gone for the weekend and I hope to be getting lots of scrapping done! Oh and I got my 1st Bad Girls kit! I LOVE IT!!!! EEEEE, so exciting!

Old Friends, New Friends

So I found a few packets of OLD pix from back in the day...ok well 5-6 years ago. Anyways, as I went through them, I realized that most of my 'friends' in the pix aren't my friends anymore which is pretty sad. One of them in particular I send myspace messages to and I get nothing back from her. Others I tried to to keep in contact with but they didn't seem so interested. So it got me thinking "what went wrong?" I guess these people are the only ones who can answer seeing how I'm clueless. I understand that people grow apart and that's fine I guess but I have all these memories that derserve to be scrapped but I just feel weird about it. On the other hand, I have new friends that I'll probably never have tangible memories with and can't scrap that stuff.....what's a girl to do??? I wish i had a scanner because some of the pix are really fun, lol, and i'd love to share them...bummer.

So I got to my altering project much sooner than i anticipated. I was so excited, how could I not? so here it is. I altered one of those cheap plastic frisbees that they give out to kids at the fairs and stuff, we have like 20 of the floating around our house and I'm tired of stepping on them, lol. So now I have a cute little wall hanging for my scrap room. All in all I'm really happy with it, I may make another one, lol.

So I'm new at this so please forgive me for my lameness. So tomorrow is a NO SCHOOL day for my kids. Hopefully I'll last the day with all my hair still on my head. My saving grace is that the older 2 are going camping with their 'GiGi' and leaving in the afternoon sometime. THANK U GiGi!!!! Hopefully I can get in some quality scraptime, I have this idea for an altered project, I'll be sure to share it with u all (as long as it turns out, lol)

Last night I put together part of my BOO gift for my mommies group. I'm calling them 'Hallow-tinis' and the card turned out pretty cute and I'm kinda proud of the poem I made up, lol. So enough of my randomness for now. TFL!
